Waukesha Mutual Aid Network Community Meeting

Meeting Notes
- Discussed moving our main discussions to Discord or Signal Chat. Discord is for more general discussions and Signal is for more specific planning – please contact Amethyst if you need more info on how to join those groups. We will still have the facebook group and public page.
- June 3rd is National Bicycle day and we are discussing on hosting a community bike repair event at either Cutler or Frame Park. To get involved, get in contact with Max or Lindsey.
- We are also looking to do something for Pride in June…possibly in conjunction with the bicycle event. Reach out to Amethyst if you’d like to help with planning.
- Earth day is coming up in April and there is park clean up through the Park and Rec and we will coordinate a team from our group for those who’d like to participate
- Please consider bringing more fresh produce to the food share – produce like potatoes, carrots, squash, apples, orange are more durable. Produce goes very fast at our events.
Upcoming Events at Waukesha Public Library:
- Food share/Paperclip resistance earrings, March 28th – 1:30 to 4:00 PM
- Book swap – April 18th 12:30 to 3:00 PM –In addition to books, consider coloring books, journals, markers, pens. The Waukesha Literacy Services will have written material and pamphlets at the event.
- Food Share/Clothing Swap – April 25 1:30 to 4:00 PM– This is our usual food swap with an additional event.
- Community Meeting – April 2nd – 6:00 to 8:00 PM
- May Food share/ Seedlings & Houseplants swap – TBD – houseplants, seedlings, garden supplies as we get ready for garden season
